Being a retail partner

My experience with the APCO Family has exceeded my expectations and I wish I had taken this amazing opportunity to join APCO a long time ago. I have made some good friends along the journey, and there have been a lot of learnings too. Over the past year, the combination of my extensive experience in the industry and the successful implementation of my learnings has helped me to grow the revenue of the business and build a talented team.

Education & work background

I completed a Bachelor of Computer Sciences, followed by a Master of Information Technology. I then completed a Master of Business Administration with a major in Accounting/Finance and Human Resources. Work-wise, I have extensive experience in the retail Fuel and Convenience industry, working across different roles at Caltex Australia and BP Australia for over 20 years.

APCO culture & support

The team at APCO have been very supportive and helpful. I have always reached out with an open mind for help, and have always got the timely support and guidance from the team that I need. I was always welcomed, irrespective of the silliest question I had; and their support helped me know more and more about the business.

The team are very friendly and approachable, reflecting the general culture at APCO. On any given day, I never hesitate to phone or email the support office team and I always walk away with a learning experience.

Any challenges?

There have been some minor challenges, but the main one has been getting the balance between running a business and looking after two young kids. It has been a busy year, but I have tried to make the most out of every little minute I had!

Word to the wise

I am impressed by the Business Model and the support offered by the APCO Family to help grow as a Retail Partner, and also grow with the Company and Brand. I can assure that for anyone who has the right drive to succeed and puts in the dedication into the APCO brand, there is imminent success.
